Jack: the Evaluation Process

  • Creation of performance sessions: definition of start date, duration, evaluation follow-up dates and identification of persons involved;
    Responsability: Human Ressource Management department
  • Goal definition: at the start, a number of pre-defined forms can be used for evaluating performance. These cover areas such as business goals, technical competency, corporate values and personal development. Predefined forms guarantee company-wide homogenous performance data. The usefulness of these forms is complemented by other evaluation parameters deemed useful by local managers;

  • Start of perfomance session: all participants are automatically advised via mail of the event. Each participant receives relevant documentation to be used over the duration of the evaluation. Each participant may fulfill multiple functions, thereby receiving all appropriate documents for each function;

  • Initial meeting: reaching shared agreement on goals to be pursued;

  • Performance evaluation: according to predefined dates, JACK will remind evaluating managers of the need to connect to the system and to conduct staff reviews under their responsability;

  • Final evaluation and meeting: at the end of the process, evaluating managers are requested to complete comprehensive evaluations of staff under their responsability and conduct meetings with them to share the results;

  • Personal Development Plan definition: in view of final evaluation results, training and development activities are defined and agreed upon;

  • 360° questionnaire: where enabled at start of cycle, 360° questionnaires will be issued. JACK manages the distribution and collection of various questionnaires via web;

  • Knowledge base reporting JACK allows the creation or many reports, such as present status of process, headcount by area, professional profiles, and competency gaps. The competency database can be further used as a knowledge base for supporting organisational decision processes
